How we secure your data
You share personal and medical information with us — that deserves careful handling. Below, in plain language, is concretely what we’ve technically put in place for that. No marketing talk, just what actually happens.
Only you (and your treating doctor) can see your data
Our database is set up so that every account can literally only access its own data — this is enforced at the database level (not just “hidden” in the website), so it’s not a setting that could accidentally be switched off. Your medical answers can never be retrieved by another account.
No more medical data in email
Your completed questionnaire stays safely in our secured database. No copy with medical details is sent around by email anymore — our team only gets a notification that there’s a new application, and views the content through a secure, login-required screen.
Protection against automated abuse
Logging in, registering and submitting the questionnaire are protected against automated attacks: we limit how often something can be attempted from the same address or to the same email address, and use an invisible bot check (CAPTCHA) on the forms.
Passwords and connections
Passwords are never stored in readable form — even we can’t see your password. All traffic between your browser and our site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
We don’t just check this once
